The Unit Assistant allows you to edit the quantity of a unit component whenever you want to use the same component more than once. This capability eliminates the need to repeat a drag-and-drop or cut-and-paste operation numerous times. When changes are made to the quantity of a unit component, design costs and report data are updated.

Double-clicking the Quantity value of a unit component displayed in the Component List makes the Quantity box editable so you can type a different value. Values as large as 99999 are valid. A value of zero removes the component from the unit.

If you make changes to component quantities of a public unit, the Unit Assistant will clone the unit as a private unit (if the Auto Clone feature is enabled) and apply the updated quantity to the cloned unit. The public unit will remain intact.
